The Rudolf Nureyev Competition, with the support of the Rudolf Nureyev Foundation and the Teatro Amintore – Comune di Rimini, was created to perpetuate the immense choreographic legacy of the most famous dancer of the twentieth century.
As Nureyev expressed in his own words, "As long as my ballets are danced, I will live."
The Competition selects talented young dancers from all over the world, male and female, between the ages of 15 and 24 to participate in this unique event. Dancers have the privilege of training with great Étoiles of Dance, who are themselves former partners of Rudolf Nureyev. Experience daily master classes as well as one-on-one variation coaching. Dancers who distinguish themselves during the competition are awarded opportunities and scholarships at preeminent dance conservatories and companies.
This inspirational event is hosted in the beautiful seaside city of Rimini, Italy.
Student Division minimum age 15 years • Professional Division maximum age 24 years
